- Export/OEM Technical Estimator
Job Profile
Due to an increase in business activity a vacancy has arisen for a Technical Estimator, within the Commercial Applications Team servicing the Export & OEM Enquiry demand.
Reporting to the Commercial Applications Manager, the role will also consist of preparation, processing and submission of quotations & tenders for all Export & OEM customers & support external sales managers and international agents.
The Technical Estimator will own and manage their quoted projects during its contract lifecycle, updating records in liaison with both internal and client teams, to ensure Nuaire’s offer matches the customer requirements in terms of specification, performance, pricing and data submission.
Key Skills
- Experience in technical estimation with hands on knowledge of HVAC sector, ventilation products and solutions
- Good commercial awareness and a strong understanding of engineering, consultancy and construction contracting principles and methods of working
- Competence in managing projects, customer relationships, and problem solving, all aimed at achieving results
- Competence in using Microsoft Word and Excel, and ideally an experienced user of AutoCAD
- Excellent communication, influencing and numeracy skills
Personal Attributes
- Ability to work and contribute positively in a team environment
- Highly motivated with a ‘can-do, make it happen’ attitude
- Methodical and logical mind with a keen attention to detail
- A self-starter and capable of working with minimum supervision
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills
- Desire to develop a career within the commercial or engineering environment
Qualifications
It is anticipated that the successful candidate would be educated to HNC standard (equivalent or higher) in Construction, Building Services or Engineering or have relevant work experience.

- Technical Post Order Project Co-ordinator
Job Profile
Due to an increase in business activity a vacancy has arisen for a technical post order project co-ordinator within the commercial applications engineering team.
Reporting to the Commercial Applications Manager. The Technical Post Order Project Co-ordinator will own and co-ordinate all post order project requirements with the Smoke Project Manager, Client. & Natural Ventilation Partners. The role will cover both smoke underground & above ground & natural ventilation systems. The role will also be required to cover the sales order processing function for Smoke Ventilation / Application Project clients and orders.
Key Skills
- Experience in system design with hands on knowledge of HVAC sector, ventilation products and solutions and Above Ground powered and natural ventilations systems in particular
- Excellent contractual awareness and a strong understanding of construction contracting principles and methods of working
- On-Site experience in construction project management with M&E Contractors
- Competence in managing projects, customer relationships, and problem solving, all aimed at achieving results
- Competence in using Microsoft Word and Excel, and an experienced user of AutoCAD
- Excellent communication, influencing and numeracy skills

- Smoke Ventilation Project Engineer
Job Profile
Due to an increase in business activity a vacancy has arisen for a smoke ventilation project engineer, within the commercial office’s applications engineering team.
Reporting to the Commercial Applications Manager, the role consists of the preparation, processing and submission of quotations and tenders from completed project enquiry forms for all smoke, fume and pollution ventilation supply and install requirements. This role will entail creating feasibility studies, detailed system designs as well as project management of all quotations and orders placed; later including site visits, pre-contract meetings and installation commissioning requirements.
The smoke ventilation engineer will own and manage their quoted projects during its contract lifecycle, updating records in liaison with both internal and external teams, to ensure Nuaire’s offer matches the client’s requirements in terms of specification, performance, pricing and data submission. Initially the role will focus on powered underground ventilation requirements, though this will ultimately expand to include natural ventilation, pressurization systems and corridor / stairwell ventilation. The role will also be required to cover the sales order processing function for Smoke Ventilation / Application Project clients and orders.
